How MSP deployment works
Build your config
Use the Builder to configure all settings via the GUI, or snapshot a golden-image machine.
Save as .baseconf
Export your configuration as an encrypted .baseconf profile file.
Deploy with the Runner
Copy the free Runner exe + your .baseconf file to USB, network share, or push via RMM.
Apply on target machines
Run the exe, pick your profile, apply. Backup taken automatically. Next machine.
Frequently asked
Do target machines need a license?
No. The Runner is completely free. You only need a license on the machine where you create and edit profiles.
What if my subscription lapses?
The app reverts to Runner mode. All your existing .baseconf files still work — you just can't create new ones until you renew.
Is it a single exe or an installer?
Both. The Runner is a portable single exe (no install). The Builder is an MSI installer with auto-updates.
Will SmartScreen block it?
If you download the Runner exe from a browser, SmartScreen may warn you. Copying it from USB/share/RMM avoids this. The MSI installer has lower SmartScreen risk.
